Comprehension
Being aware that there are different types of comprehension questions can help students understand which type of answers they need to provide. Our tutors use this to explain direct literal questions to paraphrasing and inference questions, and identify types of questions that the student may need more work with.
Essay writing
One method of learning is by imitation, and that’s where our essay samples come into the picture. Our example essays are sorted according to genre and type of essays (descriptive vs argumentative), and also include guiding questions and annotations to help students understand what makes these essays work. On top of that, our handy keyword lists consolidate useful phrases and idioms for students to learn and use in their writing.
