The news is out again: examinable topics for this year’s national exams will once again be reduced, considering how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected students and their learning in schools in 2021.
This comes after last month’s announcement that the Common Last Topics (CLT) of PSLE subjects will be removed at this year’s exams.
While this is good news for students (yay, fewer topics to study!), it may cause some panic and confusion since it is barely a few months to the exams. That is why we have compiled this list of the removed CLTs for PSLE, O Levels, and A Levels for you!
Hopefully, the changes give students more time to focus on the other examinable topics, while giving them breathing space to rest and cope with all the disruptions to their learning due to the pandemic and other stressors.
Meanwhile, here at Future Academy, we are ready to assist you if you are looking for any help in your exam subjects. Do drop us a message or check out our class schedule to find out more!
Below are the lists of removed Common Last Topics in 2021 for various subjects in PSLE, O Levels, and A Levels.
Common Last Topics for PSLE 2021
For PSLE, there are only changes to the Math and Science papers, as the language subjects are skills-based rather than content-based.
Common Last Topics for O Level 2021
Similarly, there is no removal of CLT for language subjects and some others that lend themselves to a more skills-based approach. Furthermore, do take note of papers where question options have been removed due to the removal of CLT.
Common Last Topics for A Level 2021
We have included only H1 and H2 subjects in the list; please refer to the SEAB website for updates to H3 subjects.
