AEIS Outcome Release Date And Next Steps For Students (2024)

This year’s outcome for the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) will be released very soon, which informs parents whether their child is offered a place in a local school in Singapore. If you are one of the parents who are eagerly waiting for the results, here is some information and advice on the next steps for you and your child.

When will AEIS outcome be released?

The AEIS results are usually released in December each year. For the year 2024, you may view your results on the AEIS Internet System (AEIS-IS) during the following timings:

  • For Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 2 to 3 applicants: 11 December 2024, 8:30AM to 15 December 2024 , 11:59PM
  • For Secondary 1 applicants: 19 December 2024, 8:30AM to 24 December 2024, 11:59PM (tentative)

Here’s what you need to login to AEIS-IS:

  • Your child’s passport number or Foreign Identification Number (FIN)
  • Your child’s date of birth

The preferred browser is Microsoft Edge – so if you have any trouble logging in, do try switching to the correct browser.

Can I appeal to another school?

MOE makes it pretty clear that their decision is final. Appeals for a school transfer at this point will not be entertained.

Can I find out my child’s test results?

MOE does not release the exact test scores for AEIS. You will only know whether your child is offered a place in a school.

When must I report to school?

Congrats if you have successfully been offered a place in a Singapore school! To confirm your place, don’t forget to report to your allocated school during the stipulated timings:

  • Primary 2 to 5 and Secondary 2 to 3 applicants: 12 December 2024 to 30 December 2024
  • Secondary 1 applicants: Late December 2024 to Early January 2025

You may also find detailed reporting instructions in the outcome letter you obtained from AEIS-IS.

What happens if I don’t report to school?

Failing to report to your allocated school might be treated as a rejection of the offer, and some schools might give up your child’s spot to someone else. If you are really unable to make it, do contact the school to let them know and make other arrangements.

What other documents do I need?

Your child will need one of the following before their admission can be confirmed:

  • Long-term visit pass (LTVP)
  • Dependant’s Pass (DP)
  • Immigration Exemption Order (IEO)
  • Student’s Pass (STP)

If your child does not have a LTVP, DP, or IEO, they will need to apply for a STP. The school will send out a Registration Acknowledgement Letter (RAL) and you will need this to apply for STP at the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).

We recommend applying as soon as possible to avoid delays.

How should I prepare my child for school?

It’s an exciting process to be getting ready for school in a new place! Besides getting school supplies and textbooks ready for your child, it is also a good idea to find a community of parents who you can chat to about informal school matters.

We also advice parents and students to prepare a little academically, especially for students going to upper primary or secondary levels. Keeping in mind that your child is a transfer student, they may have some catching up to do compared to their peers who have gone through the syllabus from Day 1.

You might like to take some time to look through your child’s school syllabus and textbooks when you have gotten them. It could also be helpful to enrol your child in a primary school tuition class or secondary school tuition to support their studies in a new environment, especially for Science subjects which might be new to them.

At Future Academy, we are well-versed with tutoring the Singapore syllabus, including the PSLE, O Level, as well as IP curriculum. Our experienced tutors provide small group classes as well as one-on-one coaching with tailored lessons, helping students learn at their own pace and level.

We welcome you to chat with us if you are looking for academic support for your child in their new school year, and we wish you all the best for your child’s studies in Singapore!
